Here, we’ll discuss this month’s New and Full Moon, as well as their impact.
New and Full Moons of April 2019:
- New Moon in Aries, April 5
- Full Moon in Libra, April 19
This month’s New Moon will occur in the astrological sign Aries, on April 5, at approximately 4:50 AM (EST). Now is a time of vision, confrontation, and initiative.
Aries is a get-the-job-done fire sign. Here, we are dedicated; our creative attributes are heightened, and we are ready to get to work. We are giddy with inspiration and excitement, but still, a feeling of doubt persists. We begin to wonder, What if this is all for not?
With Uranus currently in Taurus, the complicated issues that this New Moon arises are highlighted. With this moon, we are called to work. But in every creative process, there is room for failure. How does this fear of failure impact our view of ourself? And, how does our level of success dictate how we care for ourself?
How do I react when I am met with a creative blockage, mishap, or failure?
Do I feel differently about myself when I am not successful? Do I restrict self-care?
How do I feel personally when facing criticism? Can I separate my work from myself?
Do I love what I am doing?
Answer these questions honestly. Understand that they are assessments, and not accusations. First, we must be open and admit to our hellbent ways. We must free ourself from the weight of self-doubt, and instead, embrace possibility. When we transition from thinking in a doubt mindset to a possibility mindset, we are re-programming our personal initiative, and perception of ourself. When we acknowledge that everything is a possibility, success and failure alike, we may manifest our own path, our own truth, and our own future.
In possibility, there is power.
This month’s Full Moon will occur in the astrological sign Libra, on April 19, at approximately 7:12 AM (EST). Now is a time of balance, question, and creation.
Libra is an ethereal air sign, one who holds power in the lands of manifestation, and vision. With this sign, we are exhilarated. The energy of this Full Moon and sign have co-aligned to create an aura of creative ecstasy. Utilize it! Let your mind wander; what comes to you in the blankest thought, will be the most beautiful project once executed.
But, be careful. You must keep yourself grounded in reality.
This Full Moon’s idealism is graceful, but it is also chaotic. Our inner-artist will come out to play, and reach havoc on our consistency. We want to be dramatic, reborn, you could say. Now is the time to sit with your desires, as impulsive as they may be. For as balanced as Libra is, this sign seeks freedom, at any cost. Do you feel stuck? Are you tricking yourself into succumbing to a temporary fix, believing it will grant you freedom?
Analyze, before action. This act, above all, is the most freeing.
